Wilder Kaiser is known for its rough rocks, famous climbing and the TV series Bergdoktor. Several of the back then most difficult routes in the Alps are within the Kaiser-mountain range: Pumprisse in 1977 was the first climbed route in the Alps with the difficulty VII and in 1994 followed Des Kaisers neue Kleider, X+, and back then one of the most difficult routes overall.
